It’s no secret that the recession has hit us all this past year, including music teachers. It’s influenced the programs we teach for as well as our ability to find music students. Moreover, it’s affected family’s abilities to pay for instruments for their kids to learn on.

One public school in Las Vegas is taking an interesting approach to the problem of budget cuts in the music department by getting the community involved. Cool story…it’s nice to see a school taking action instead of letting the music program fall by the wayside.
